The art of Zinaida Serebriakova
We feel a bit guilty that the works of Ukrainian-born artist Zinaida Serebriakova (Зинаида Евгеньевна Серебрякова) never caught our attention. She was born near Kharkov in a family of artists. (Actor Peter Ustinov came from this same family.)

He is probably one of the most mysterious artists of the 20th Century. Most of what we have seen of his work is centered around Domination.
The genre is usually about heterosexual BDSM or homosexual role play. He crossed that intersection by depicting both men and women in a dominating role. Quite unique in the genre.

Red Light District Amsterdam 1970s
Photojournalist Max van Norden, frustrated that he was not allowed to photograph the sex workers, started drawing them. He admitted that he could not draw. Still, these images captured the essence of an era that is long gone.

This series of French illustrations from the book Les Bigarrures was first published in 1799. The works were signed by the completely unknown William C.B. Much later these artworks were attributed to Vivian Denon. Both text and illustrations were made between Denon’s return from Bonaparte’s Egyptian Expedition and his nomination as curator of the newly inaugurated Musée de Louvre under the reign of Napoleon I.

In the 195s, photography of the female physique was quite popular. At the same time, the culture of the era dictated that women were not considered to be interested in the male physique, so the ‘beefcakes’ as a parallel to the ‘cheesecakes’ were made to entice gay men more than women. [link]
Today, we rarely see large breasts in pornography without the obvious signs of surgery – only invisible to those who have no affection whatsoever with detail. These breasts are all real.
